Violet and Richard Connell, together with our three children Aran, Darryl and Inez (from top down), welcome you to our home and place of work. We began taking guests in 1993 following an extension to our house which originally was built in 1913.


Guests are welcome to visit the farm, to help with the milking or stroll along the farm. We work the land in an environmentally friendly manner and enjoy sharing it with nature, farming within the Rural Environmental Protection Scheme.

Fortview House was awarded the National Winner Agri-Tourism Awards 1996 and again in 2000 and it was the National Winner Royal Dublin Society (RDS) Farming and Conservation Award in 2000 and is highly recommended by many guides, including:
